I got to be "Room Mom" today and volunteer in the girls class. My teaching partner and I switched work times so I could do this (I LOVE her!). The girls don't have school on Friday- so today was the day for them to dress up in costume. We got to Trick or Treat around the school!
Teachers signed up their classrooms for us to visit and the parents brought in the candy to be given. It was so much fun!
On our way to the first class. Maddie is line leader, Ashley is next to the Hulk and Emily brought up the rear with her wings- they lasted one room- LOL
Mrs. Rorie would come over when the girls were little to help out! She's an awesome teacher and friend!

The class is working through the alphabet- one letter a week. This week was "C". Each week a parent signs up to bring in a food item that starts with that letter. We were on this week- C for COOKIES! So we took our cookies out for recess to have a quick snack before playing. No sooner did we get the cookies passed out and a funny thing happened...
it started to RAIN!
Running back to class to get out of the rain- 15 pre-k kids screaming and running amok! This is CA after all- we don't know how to act when it rains!
Back in class- Mrs. O carves the pumpkin while everyone eats their Cookies.
Aunt Chelle came and brought the girls home while I stayed to teach the afternoon- she made a cake with the girls :)

Oh those hats!
We rode the train, had a hay ride, went through a hay maze and a haunted house, we picked pumpkins, played with the cut outs and even got a pony ride. Phew! What a day and worth the wait!
