Baby Reunion!
When I posted the Color Accent pictures I mentioned that I took them at our annual baby reunion party at our fertility doctor's. Here are the rest of the pictures from the afternoon.
The family with Dr. Salem. He is such a sweet man- 5 years later- he still remembers us (though how can you forget us). He remembers I am a teacher and that Rick does Real Estate. He spends time with every family catching up and taking pictures. We will forever have a place in our hearts for Dr. Salem and his staff. They made our dream a reality (times 3)!
The party has lots for the kids to do- rides, entertainment and food!
The highlight each year is the horse/pony rides. This year we were able to ride 2 times. They were on cloud 9!

It was a fun afternoon! We love meeting the other families too that have gone through Dr. Salem's doors. It's a journey you wish on no one, but once you've traveled that path- its good to know you aren't alone!

Another First!
We FINALLY made it to the "Gagoon" this week! Maddie was given the all clear before the 4th of July but its been so chilly that we haven't wanted to go. This week the weather warmed up so we took the plunge and went- the big first though is that I took them by myself!
My little beach bunnies! They were so excited! we went over all the rules before we left and once we got to the lagoon. They were excellent for me and I can't wait to take them again!
It's like riding a bike- we got right back into the swing of things!

Ragsdale Triplets 4th Birthday Party!
Another set of our favorite triplet friends had a birthday recently too- in fact- the Morgan triplets and the Ragsdale triplets birthdays are 2 days apart! Last year we celebrated both birthdays in the same weekend (which was also 4th of July), this year we had a week break between the two birthdays. Emma, Roman and Jacob wanted a costume party this year!
The Ragsdales live in the valley- so a costume party in July makes me sweat just thinking about it- but the girls really wanted to dress so we settled on some "cooler" costumes and hit the party! Ashley was a princess, Emily was Ariel from Little Mermaid and Maddie was Princess Tiger Lily.Mommy opted for headgear as a costume- it was over 100 degrees when the party started!
The girls lasted in costumes for 1/2 an hour, then we took them off. Some of the kids were troopers and kept theirs on the whole time. It was a fun party- punch was flowing and the kids were happy!Cake time! As always- we sing three times!
Cutting the cake
Such a great hostess!! (and mommy!)
Then the pinatas came out... Marie (from the Aristocats) was first- I had a bad feeling about it when the girls started to pat and hug the pinata!

Bad feeling validated-Disaster- little girls crying- poor Marie!maddie...
Hot, sticky Ashley and daddy, watching the pinatas from a safe distance
A spot in the shade!
Triplet Mommy Besties! I love these gals!
I love that we are so close that we get to celebrate these important milestones together- I only wish all the other mommies from the Vegas trip lived just as close so we could all get together- here's hoping one day all the families do (which by the way- Mandy's triplets birthday- that visited in March-is the SAME day as Eve's within hours of each other- how amazing is that)!

Morgan Triplets Birthday Party!!
Some of our favorite triplets had a birthday on the 4th of July and we got to celebrate with them the day after for their party! Here are Jaden, Brandon and Alyssa with their birthday cake!
The Morgan parties are always fun and always promise for a multitude of triplets! Below are the 4 sets of triplets at the party!
Some familiar faces to my blog and some new faces too! We had the pleasure of meeting Triplet mommy Deborah and her boys (and triplet daddy Edgar). Such an amazing family and the boys are as cute as can be! Here are all the mommies...
...and the daddies...
As sad as we are to leave our triplet gatherings and parties, I love when all our kids hug good-bye. Us moms always talk about how we hope that their friendships continue on for a long time and that since they all understand being triplets- that they continue this bond that we've introduced them to.

We knew we were going to do it all over again the following weekend for the Ragsdale triplets' birthday party!!!

Experimenting with camera settings~ ORANGE
I've had my camera for a year and a half now. This is a HUGE feat since my track record before this camera was about one a year. I'm tough on my cameras- I admit it. That's one reason I haven't delved into the SLR level even though I drool every time I see pictures taken with one (you should have seen me when I actually got to shoot with one a couple months ago- I'm so proud of my will power to not buy it right there!) I still find it hard to believe that we bought our first digital camera right before the girls were born! Crazy when you think about it- before 5 years ago all my pictures are from negatives! But- I digress.
I have several features on my point and shoot camera that I am still getting familiar with (who has time to read the manual with triplets and other great books/magazines to read in the house?) But one feature I've really been working with lately is the COLOR ACCENT feature.
Take a look.....
Pretty neat huh? These are not photoshopped or edited in anyway! With a few adjustments on the camera settings I got these great snow cone pictures in black and white with only the orange accented!
These were taken at our fertility doctor's annual reunion party last month. I'll post more pictures from the party soon (the girls got to ride horses) but for now- I'll leave you with more color accent!

FFF: Red, White and Blue! 4th of July Fun!
It's been awhile since I've done a Favorite Foto Friday~ not for lack of wanting- just haven't been on top of my blogging game. The lazy days of summer are allowing me more time to blog however and I'm happy to be back into FFF! Yay! This week's theme is Red, White and Blue! Since I haven't shared my July 4th pictures with you yet- what a perfect chance!
Here are my little firecrackers the morning of July 4th as we are loading up the van to go to Aunt Chelle and Uncle Mike's house.
The weather so far this summer has been pretty cool (mid- 70's) and we've had a lot of marine layer. This has put a damper on any beach trips for us as of yet. But since Michelle and Mike live a little further inland- we watched with excitement as the temperature rose on the way to their house and couldn't wait to get into bathing suits and jump in the pool (sunscreen was liberally added as well!)
Emily strikes a pose
The girls played like this for awhile- they'd hold hands and run and jump into the pool. They'd also take turns going in 2's while one stayed in the pool to laugh at the splash.
I LOVE when they hold hands (though freak out when they run and do it LOL)
When that novelty wore off we broke out the Slip-n-Slide
The girls didn't quite get the concept down (and I've been seriously warned about posting the pictures of Uncle Mike and Rick going down the Slip-n-Slide) so Michelle and I spent some time pulling them down the slide.
My parents joined us for dinner and my mom enjoyed putting with the girls on the putting green.
Rick and Mike got these cool hats and my mom really liked them.
All dressed again and ready for dinner and then fireworks! And for a little perspective- here is our family "Red, White and Blue" picture from July 4, 2005 (the girls were 1!)
Look at that lack of hair!

Look at that lack of hair! The girls really liked the fireworks show. They were up way past their bedtime and were more than tired by the time we got back to Michelle and Mikes. It was a great 4th of July and we love that our tradition of going to Michelle and Mike's continued. They are excellent hosts!
We hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July too!
