We met Sara and Rich at Roger's Gardens in Newport (near Fashion Island). Its a beautiful nursery that is all decorated for the season. They also have a Santa there on the weekends for free pictures. He is set up in the original bandstand gazebo from Disneyland!
The girls were very happy to see Santa but were a little shy. It took some coaxing to get them to talk to him (he was very nice) and since it was so COLD we had no one waiting behind us so we were able to spend a little time with him and not feel rushed!
The girls got a candy cane at the end.
After we took some pictures in front of the decorated trees,Sara and Rich
Mom and Dad/Grammie and Grandpa/Sue and John
The O'Connors: Chris, Emily, Ashley, Rick and Madeline
It was very windy and in the 40's. It had rained earlier in the day. The girls were troopers but were ready to get to warmer places and dinner.
We did stop to check out the train...

We went out for dinner afterward and celebrated the boys birthdays. Uncle Rich somehow ended up with Emily and Madeline on either side of him (hee-hee). The girls love their Uncle Rich! Maddie had taken a nap on the way down so she was awake all the way home- the other 2 however were out pretty quick- Ashley clung to Grandpa and didn't let go- Grandpa's are great pillows! :)

One more week of school and then we are off for THREE weeks! Yahoo! We have had some computer issues and may have lost our hard drive to a virus (jury is still out). So if I haven't sent you an email requesting you to contact me- can you please email me? I've lost my email address book. (I am currently using my work laptop and I can't access it through here- my email is still the same). THANKS!!
