Happy New Year! Welcome 2009!

Happy New Year everyone! We had a nice and quiet evening last night with the girls at home. We decided to let the girls stay up until 9 to ring in New Years with our east coast friends- below is the scene at 8:15!!! HAHAHAHA!

Poor Emily- couldn't make it 15 minutes!

The girls were not interested in watching the festivities on the TV so we entertained ourselves with funny photos to pass the time by...

Finally it was 8:55- the girls were asking to go to bed! We made it through the countdown- said "Happy New Year!" gave kisses and promptly took Maddie and Ashley to bed- 2 seconds later they were out!

Rick and I did manage to stay awake until midnight (unlike last year!) Emily woke up this morning asking about seeing the ball drop- oh dear- not wanting to miss anything we got in some silly photos this morning.
We wish you all the best for 2009! It's going to be a big year in many ways! Thank you for taking the time to check in with us!
