Been one of those days!

We didn't get a good night's sleep last night. That is usually an indicator that the following day isn't going to go well- mommy needs her sleep- well- mommy needs at least 5 hours uninterrupted sleep to perform to my normal "mommy level" with coffee. So needless to say, since I was up from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m every 5-20 minutes with Ashley and Emily, I did not get that needed sleep. Not sure what it was all about- Ashley started with saying she had a bad dream, then she had to go potty, then she needed her Wiggles slippers (mind you it's 80 degrees in the house at the time!)- so we said no- that caused a major meltdown, then she just wanted to cuddle with us, which prompted Emily to try and cuddle with us (our bed just isn't that big enough when its warm) so we nixed that and put everyone back to bed. Still no luck getting her back to sound sleep, so i ended up on the couch with her until she got into that sound sleep (and I was a sweaty mess in need of a shower) and I moved her back into her bed and i went back to mine. They slept in a bit this morning- 7:30 that is. Sigh... so mommy was grumpy today. Top things off, Emily was on a mission to get into TROUBLE today (I really need to get her one of those "here comes Trouble" tshirts). She did the exact opposite of whatever I told her usually with her signature "WHY?" as she did it. Grrrr, yes folks- we've hit the "WHY?" stage. Sure thought we had managed to avoid it! She broke the blinds in her room- removed a couple pieces and has yet to find them- sigh!

So to top the day off even more we had this little issue this afternoon:Yep- its STUCK!So funny until you try to pull it off!
Little soap and it popped right off- BUT since she was such a trouble maker today I made her wait so I could take a picture- ya- you can see she was really bothered by it! LOL What a ham! When I closed the camera she did ask nicely, "Can we get it off now?" Popped right off with lots of giggles...So there you have it! They sure gave me a run for my money today! Maybe we should start keeping score? Triplets 1, Mommy 0.

More Hip Hop Fun!

More hip hop fun from Maddie's second Hip Hop Class. This is the performance at the end of class when all the parents are invited in to watch. So cute! She just loves it! You can pause the blog music by scrolling to the bottom and pushing the pause button. That way you can hear the music in the video :) Enjoy!

Book Nook!

My girls LOVE to read! We have TONS of books and i can't part with any of them! We love them all! BUT they were getting out of control! So we had to come up with a better storage solution. Thus- the Book Nook was created. It's here in the back room next to the computer desks and the couch. It's not a huge nook- but will do for now! At least all the books are contained in one area! I will often find one or two of the girls laying back there reading, happy as can be. I love it!

Triplet Birthday party #2: The Ragsdale tripletsWe started the party with cotton candy! Pinata time! Ashley is in green, Emily in pink and Maddie in blue.
Rare pictures of me! LOL My backup camera was acting up too (I did get my Canon back the next day) so thanks to Tanya for taking pictures of my girls and me!The candy fest begins! There were three pinatas (naturally of course!)Cheesing it up with the pinata parts!
Ok folks, the moment you've been waiting for, this is what FIVE sets of triplets looks like! (one child is not pictured, but you get the idea!)
One of the cool things about having this many sets of multiples (there were a coulple sets of twins there too- my girls were the oldest of the group i believe) is that we were in the MAJORITY for once and not the center of attention! So we had a blast- got to relax a bit (yes- I did say relax) and I actually had some decent conversations with other MOMS (moms of multiples)! We ALL laughed a lot and just truly enjoyed the weekend. And I am SOOOO proud of my girls! They held it together and were excellent!
A BIG THANKS to ALL of our hosts/hostesses! Thank you so much for your hospitality! When do we get to do it again????? :) XOXOXO

FFF #16 Red, White and Blue! 4th of July Review!

4th of July Weekend was CRAZY! But we had a great holiday and have so many memories! Each year just seems to get better and this year was no exception! So without further ado- here are some Red, White and Blue highlights from our 4th! I will be posting weekend pictures tomorrow and Sunday so be sure to check back as we attended TWO triplet birthday parties!I took the girls to our local park on the 4th to ride the mini steam trains. Titi Joann came with us (we walked to the park). This was their park outfit- last year's Old Navy shirts that i couldn't find until that morning (read that as I just HAD to go buy new shirts, so we wore these in teh morning LOL)! The glasses were from the Target dollar bin- Maddie wore them the whole time and by the end her nose was BLUE from the paint and her sweat- fun!
After the park we came home, loaded up the van , daddy joined us and we drove out to Aunt Chelle and Uncle Mike's home. We BBQ'ed, the kids swam, we had ice cream cones and cupcakes with sprinkles and then we headed to the fireworks! Aunt Chelle got the scoop on the best place to watch the local show and wow was it great!

Emily

AshleyMadeline (is it me or do they look REALLY grown up now?)The O'Connor's (and our new blog header picture!)The girls loved sitting in the back of the van to watch the fireworksWe had to wait about 20 minutes for the show to begin- they were as patient as they could be for 4 year olds an hour past their bedtime!

Ashely kept yelling "Hey- you firecrackers, what's that all about? You firecrackers!" Everyone did well though watching. We went back to Michelle and Mikes and got the girls settled on air mattresses in their bedroom and we went downstairs for another round of dessert! yep- a great day!

For more Red, White and Blue pics make sure to check out Sarah's blog! And for more pics from our weekend (including what FIVE sets of triplets look like) check back again Sunday! For a follow up to last week's FFF "Dancing" see the post from yesterday!
