BIG big girl beds!

My friend Lisa recently remodeled her girls' bedroom and offered us the twin beds that were in the previous room. We of course said yes and drove over on Sunday to pick them up. The girls were so excited! We discussed the layout of their room and we also tried to discuss the fact that there were only 2 beds coming. Everyone was eager to offer someone else up to stay in a toddler bed- no one wanted to volunteer themselves. Finally Ashley and Emily decided that they could sleep together. Problem solved,... for now!

The girls room with 3 toddler beds (their cribs converted) Starting to dismantle the cribs- very emotional for us!
Maddie loved all the extra room once the beds were out- little did she know she was soon to have less room than before!
Starting to build the first bed... lots of helpers!
Now onto the second bed- wow twins are bigger than i remembered!
The final arrangement (for now)...
Everyone asleep!

Ashley at the top and Emily at the bottom.

Madeline- of course under a pillow!

Thank you Lisa!!! We love them!!!

Awww, I can remember taking down the baby beds. :) Those beds are great - and they all look so comfy.

How is pre-school going?

What big girls! Such a transition to. Madeline started in a twin bed at 2 1/2 and she loved it. I cannot imagine getting 3 twin beds LOL. what an expense when you have to do things times 3. Great your friend had 2 beds!

Thanks for thinking of me in the storm. I cannot believe the winds we got here. They reported hurricane force at 80mph. crazy. We are in Louisville KY. for goodness sake. I am still without power at my condo (went out Sunday at 11:15am) so I am staying with my parents. All I kept thinking about was I hoped Sarah from Kiss the Frog for me (she lives here)...I hoped no trees had fallen on her beautiful new porch. The update on her blog said nothing but no power to, so I assume she was ok. I do insurance for a living so a busy week of lots of claims at our office. Luckily we have not had rain and the temperatures have been awesome--cool nights 55 degrees, and days 70-80...so we lucked out there.

Thanks again for asking. See you on FFF,Hope all is well with you.
