We have had a great Thanksgiving this year, we hope that you have too! This by far was our best yet! The girls were so much fun and great HELPERS this year too! Whenever we are invited to an event around the holidays it is a given that I am expected to bring my "famous" chocolate dipped clementines~ they are pretty easy to make- very assembly line- and I have the system down pat as I will make anywhere from 10-15 batches through the holiday season. So imagine my delight this year when I had THREE volunteers help me peel the clementines (and do a good job at it)!
Thursday morning- making the batch for Aunt Susie's house- below is the final product!
Don't they look delicious? They are! And they are so small that you really can eat a lot! :) We repeated the process Friday morning for dinner at my parents' house too.
Here are the girls ready to go to Susie's house to be with Rick's family...
Yes- I caved and "fixed" Ashley's hair- Maddie got a bang trim in the process too...
The girls were so happy to see their cousins and spend time with them (we have been so sick this year we have been staying away trying not to share germs- knock on wood- we were all well for this holiday! phew!)

All the kids- 2 families :)

On Friday we walked down to my parents' house for dinner with my family. It's nice spreading the holiday out over 2 days- we don't have to rush house to house and we get to spend time with everyone (and enjoy it!)

A family shot...
Still not able to get everyone looking
Time to eat! This is the first year that all the girls ate turkey (not just maddie)! And we didn't have to call it chicken!
The girls had dessert at their little table- pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, clementines and whip cream- heaven!

This was the first year we were able to SIT and enjoy full conversations and not worry about little people. We got to visit with my uncle and aunt and my sister and brother in law. We laughed, told stories and made future plans. It was a great day!
We have so much to be thankful for this year, 3 beautiful girls, a loving family (near and far), awesome friends... the list can go on and on. The holiday season is upon us and it is so easy to get caught up in the madness of it all (yes- I was at Walmart at 5 a.m. on Friday!), its so important to stop amidst it all to enjoy the moment- that is my goal this season, I hope you will too! Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless!

The girls are getting so big and their hair is getting so long (err...except the bangs ;O))
The clementines look SO GOOD! Beautiful! Do you use the same kind of chocolate sauce that you dip strawberries in?
It's cold here and it snowed all day Sunday (although hardly any stuck). I'm missing Cali. Missing the beach the most! Soak up some sunshine for me!
Love,
