Butterfly Garden and Museum Day

So you may be thinking- wait- it's Saturday! What happened to Favorite Foto Friday? LOL Well- 2 things actually- one- I kind of lost track of days this past week and about half way through yesterday it hit me- it's Friday! whoops! See what summer will do to you? Two- Sarah's theme this week was/is "First Day of School" WHAT??? We still have a few weeks to go! Don't rush my vacation! all kidding aside- I do realize that many schools (especially east coast?) went back to the books this week. I do not go back until Sept. 2nd and the girls don't start until Sept. 10th (though they ask me everyday if its time to go to school- along with whether or not they are 5 yet- sigh). So I will save my First Day of School post for then.

So what to do for a post? Well have I got a post! Titi Joann treated us Tuesday to a day at Exposition Park near the coliseum to see the Pavilion of Wings, the Natural History Museum and The Science Center. Whoa- big day! What made it even bigger was that we were STROLLER FREE! Yay! The girls were troopers!
All fresh to start the day! Madeline, Ashley and Emily

They were less than impressed with the butterflies though! I was bummed because I have been wanting to see this for a couple summers now and was really excited- the girls weren't excited at all. Oh well- you just never know! After about 2 minutes the general statement was, "Can we go see the dinosaurs now?"

Ashley ended up getting her map taken away because right after this picture she took aim and swatted at a butterfly. "No butterflies were harmed by triplets during our viewing time!"

On to see the dinosaurs!

In the discovery center (and insect zoo- yeech!) Emily pretends to be a "stunk", Ashley a coyote?

Madeline is a jackalope :)

Outside in the rose garden- Ashley was on a mission to get to the next thing- she told us, "there's no time to smell the flowers, keep moving, no looking- we need to see more!" Yes Mam!

They did stop to smell one! It was a FUN day! Here are some of the pictures I took of the butterflies:

THANK YOU TITI!
