Final Countdown to Pre-K!

Sept. 10th is the date that the girls start school but we have begun the countdown to that momentous day! It started last week really when the girls got MAIL! Their letters confirming their enrollment and start date! They were so excited to each get their own letter (thank you Maritza!)
Then Mommy and Grammie and Titi were crazy enough to hit the Old Navy denim sale on Saturday- 40 minutes to check out, but we got cute jeans for the girls at a great price! And then- well- Gymboree was right down the way and it was Circle of Friends weekend with 30% off everything! More cuteness purchased there!
And today we hit a big milestone- the first OFFICIAL haircut! And they sure needed it! We took the "observe first then come back" approach. We met my teaching partner and her 2 girls last week for lunch (my girls call Lisa "your teacher" when they talk to me as in, "Are we having lunch with YOUR teacher" LOL). We found this great kids haircut place so Lisa volunteered her daughter to get her bangs trimmed so the girls could watch. We went in today and had no problems! The woman that cut the girls hair was great with them and they were fabulous! Grammie and I were so proud! We went to Ruby's for lunch and a milkshake to celebrate! Here are the before pictures- look at all that hair!

Madeline
Ashley was Princess of the Day so she got to go first (not sure she was thrilled about that privilege LOL)
The girls got to sit in this cute plane and watch a video of their choice. I decided to give everyone their own "style" cut- Ashley is going to keep growing her bangs out

They even got styled and flowers
Madeline was next...We took 2 inches off the back of Maddie and AshleyAnd Maddie now has wispy bangs- we'll grow out the rest

Beautiful!

Finally it was Emily's turn and by then she was ready (phew!) Emily's hair is pretty layered naturally and has a wave to it- so we decided to trim her to her shortest layer which ended up being quite a bit...Her bangs part and go to the side naturally so we've decided to grow them out too
Ta-Dah!

Now all we have to do is wait and enjoy these last few days of summer.

Below here Ashley is holding our digital countdown. This started as my pregnancy countdown when I was pregnant with them. It has different face plates- one being for the start of preschool, so the countdown has truly begun!

Summer is almost over, my babies are going to school soon! When did all this happen???
