We had our first trip of the summer to the Seaside Lagoon- the girls fondly call it the Gagoon. The gagoon is a saltwater pool located right on the Redondo Beach marina. It's great for little kids because there are no waves or riptide, yet you still get the salt water and sand. We went ahead and got a season pass for the summer so there will be many more trips!

Ashley was very happy to sit on the waterfront and build a sandcastle and cover herself in sand.
Emily loved the castle once it was done and pretended it was her dog house.
I will say that a year makes a HUGE difference when taking triplets to the beach! We actually got to sit down and watch from our beach chairs without worrying that someone was eating sand, or getting too deep in the water, or wandering off after other children (ok- Maddie did do that once). Also exciting is that Aunt Chelle got to come with us! 
The weather was iffy- we'd get a warm spell and then a chill/wind. The water was CHILLY but we know as the summer goes on it'll warm up too!
We ended the day with a popsicle in the front yard. Life is good...Summer is GREAT!
